About Us
Stuart Carter
Stuart started agility training over 30 years ago with his Boxer dog
who taught him a great deal, including a bit of humility! Over the
years Stuart has enjoyed considerable UK and international success with
his Border Collies, representing Great Britain in international
competition and winning Bronze, Silver and Gold medals. He has competed
at Crufts and Olympia many times; his Border Collie Storm (Ag Ch Kapia
Konquest) became the second ever Agility Champion in the UK.
Stuart has been instructing Agility for over 20 years. He continues to
compete with Storm's grandson Jura ('J') but nowadays takes just as much - or
perhaps even more - enjoyment from celebrating the successes of his
students.
Emma Jackson
Stuart is assisted by Emma who started training dogs 35 years ago,
competing in obedience with her first Border Collie. Since then Emma
has owned and trained a wide variety of dogs including a Great Dane,
Border Collies, Working Cocker Spaniels and a tiny terrier crossbreed. She
started agility training 15 years ago and enjoyed success taking her Working
Cocker Spaniel to KC Grade 7 and UKA Championship. She is currently competing
with her young Border Collie Hoozy (another of Storm's grandsons) and has already
competed at the UKA Grand Finals two years running.
Emma enjoys broadening her dog training skills and knowledge and
frequently attends training camps, enabling her to bring back new ideas
to share with members of TDTC.
